Katie Meyer is the Smart City Policy Advisor at Cincinnati Bell. In her role, Katie works with municipalities and organizations to navigate smart city planning and implementation.

Prior to Cincinnati Bell, Katie served as the Executive Director of Renaissance Covington where she implemented public Wi-Fi, several large-scale creative placemaking initiatives, and a variety of public events. Under her leadership, Renaissance Covington earned the Great American Main Street Award from Main Street America for their preservation-based revitalization efforts. Katie has also served as a downtown revitalization consultant with Thomas P. Miller and Associates developing strategic plans in Hot Springs, Arkansas and Billings, Montana. 

In 2015, Katie co-authored Walking Cincinnati: 32 Walking Tours Exploring Historic Neighborhoods, Stunning Riverfront Quarters, and Hidden Treasures in the Queen City. The Second Edition will be released in May of 2019. Katie also worked at Kentucky Housing Corporation as a Planning and Performance Analyst.

Katie earned her M.S. in Urban Policy Analysis and Management from The New School in New York City. She also holds a B.A. in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Kentucky. In 2017, Katie was named Emerging Leader at the Outstanding Women of Northern Kentucky Awards and in 2015, Katie won the Next Generation Leader Award from Legacy Young Professionals. 

In addition to her professional role, Katie serves on the board of the NKU Scripps Howard for Civic Engagement, Be Concerned Food Pantry, and as the Co-Chair of NKY Fairness.
