Peter Kleinhenz has been actively involved in the life sciences sector as a professional investor, entrepreneur, or consultant for over 30 years. In January 2018 Peter joined Myonexus Therapeutics, Inc a Columbus based gene-therapy company as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Business Officer.  He directed the strategic and financial process which resulted in Myonexus being acquired by Sarepta Therapeutics, Inc. in April 2019.

Previously, for 16 years, Peter was a venture capitalist focusing on investments in medical devices, diagnostics, and therapeutics companies.   His served, in board or advisory roles in over 15 companies including: Surgiquest, Inc. (acquired by ConMed, Inc.), Cayenne Medical, Inc. (acquired by Zimmer Biomet), QIS, Inc., (sold to Abeam Consulting), Renal Solutions, Inc. (acquired by Fresenius Medical Care, AG), EKOS Corporation (acquired by BTG International), and Red Path Integrated Pathology, Inc., (acquired by PDI, Inc.) and Waterlink (acquired by Calgon Carbon Corp.).

Before his work as a venture capitalist Peter served as Vice President of Commercialization–Life Sciences for Battelle Memorial Institute leading start-up formation, strategic development partnerships, and internal corporate consulting in the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors.  

He was CEO and principal owner of Progenics Inc., a product development and pilot manufacturing company for medical devices and industrial controls which he sold to Fitch, Inc.  Peter was a senior executive and a founding management team member of Neoprobe Corporation a biotech and medical device company focused on cancer detection and therapy and led the formation of and partnership with Merrill Dow Pharmaceuticals and a variety of venture capital financing rounds.  In addition to these senior executive positions, Peter has a business consulting practice, Woodhall Consulting, LLC. focused on strategic planning, capital formation, and corporate partnerships directed at life science companies. 

Peter received an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, a bachelor's degree from Loyola University of Chicago, and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status) in Ohio.
